FAQs

Who is Adult Recorders for?

Adult Recorders is a friendly ensemble for adult learners and returning players of any level. Whether you played as a child and want to pick it up again, or are continuing as an adult learner, you are very welcome.

What kind of music does the group play?

Recorder consort repertoire spans from beautiful Renaissance and Baroque works to folk arrangements and contemporary pieces — a range that really shows off the depth and character of recorder ensemble playing.

Do I need to own a particular type of recorder?

Descant is the most common starting point, but recorder consort playing typically uses a mix of sizes. Your tutor can advise on what you would need for the pieces the group is playing.

How do I join?
