Jazz Saxophone Tutor for September 2020

Where: Young Music Makers Saturday School, Highgate Road. NW5.

Duties: 1-to-1 saxophone teaching, with the potential to take on some group work as the timetable develops.

Rate: £29ph individual teaching, £29-35ph for groups.

Date: From September 2020, 10 Saturdays per term, approx 4 hours to begin with, expected to rise to a 6-hr day within a year.

Required:

  • Experience of teaching in a similar setting, ideally having taken a student through to grade 8 level and beyond on the jazz syllabus.
  • Enthusiasm for, and dedication to, music education.
  • A positive, pragmatic and flexible attitude, as it is likely will we offer a mixture of in person and online teaching.

Ideal:

  • Experience with adult students and group teaching, both in person and remotely.
  • The candidate will need to acquire, or produce, a full DBS check (paper or update service) valid within 3 years upon appointment.

Voice and Choir Tutor for September 2020

Where: Young Music Makers Saturday School, Highgate Road. NW5.

Duties: 1-to-1 vocal teaching, three junior choirs, one adult jazz choir and one teenage jazz choir.

Rate: £29ph individual teaching, £29-35ph for groups depending on size.

Date: From September 2020, 10 Saturdays per term, approx 4 hours to begin with, expected to rise to a 6-hr day within a year.

Required:

  • Experience of teaching in a similar setting across a variety of styles, including jazz, rock and pop, ideally having taken a student through to grade 8 level.
  • Enthusiasm for, and dedication to, music education.
  • A positive, pragmatic and flexible attitude, as it is likely will we offer a mixture of in person and online teaching.

Ideal:

  • Experience with adult students and group teaching, both in person and remotely.
  • The candidate will need to acquire, or produce, a full DBS check (paper or update service) valid within 3 years upon appointment.

Woodwind Tutor for September 2020.

Where: Young Music Makers Saturday School, Highgate Road. NW5.

Duties: 1-to-1 saxophone, clarinet and flute teaching, 45-minute adult, mixed woodwind ensemble.

Rate: £29ph individual teaching, £29-35ph for groups.

Date: From September 2020, 10 Saturdays per term, approx 3 hours to begin with, expected to rise to a 6-hr day within a year.

Required:

  • Experience of teaching in a similar setting, on the classical and jazz syllabuses, ideally having taken a student through to grade 8 level.
  • Enthusiasm for, and dedication to, music education.
  • A positive, pragmatic and flexible attitude, as it is likely will we offer a mixture of in person and online teaching.

Ideal:

  • Experience teaching beginner double-reed
  • The candidate will need to acquire, or produce, a full DBS check (paper or update service) valid within 3 years upon appointment.
  • Experience of teaching ensembles and individuals remotely.
