Who is Junior Flutes for?
Junior Flutes is for young flautists at grade 1 and above. It is an exciting ensemble playing a wide range of repertoire including classical pieces and show music.
Does my child need to be having flute lessons at YMM?
No. Junior Flutes is open to any young flautist at the right level, regardless of where they have their lessons.
What kind of music does Junior Flutes play?
A varied and engaging mix of classical works and show music, chosen to be musically rewarding for a wide grade range and to bring out the best of the flute ensemble sound.
What comes next after Junior Flutes?
More advanced flute players can progress to the Adult Flute Ensemble (for older/adult players) or explore Groove Orchestra and Innovate alongside their individual lessons.

Will there be chances to perform?
Yes. Every group at YMM performs at the end-of-term concert, and many groups also play at weekly café concerts and special events throughout the year.
