💚 Big Give Campaign

We're getting ready for this year's Big Give Christmas Challenge — our biggest fundraising event for the YMM Bursary Scheme, which helps children from disadvantaged backgrounds access music lessons and groups.

Thanks to your support last year, we raised more than £5,000 and supported 16 young musicians — an incredible achievement!

Here's how it works: if we can secure £2,500 in pledges of £100 or more by 5 pm on 28 August, the Big Give could match up to that amount. Then in December, we'll aim to double the matched total during our festive Challenge Week, just like we've done in past years.

That could mean another £10,000 for the Bursary Scheme — enough to fund a full year of music for our current bursary students.

If you feel able to be one of these critical core supporters this year by pledging £100 or more, you can make your pledge using this link. Please share far and wide!

There's nothing to pay now — you'll only donate if we raise matching donations in December.

And if you're not in a position to give right now, you can still make a big impact by helping us spread the word. Please feel free to share our posts across your networks.

🎓 Work Experience Opportunity for School Leavers

If your 17–19 year old is looking for some (unpaid) flexible work experience over the summer that would be good for their future CV, look no further!

We are seeking just a few days/hours of support for our corporate fundraising outreach, to help expand our charitable and community activities.

If you're interested, please contact our Chair of Trustees, Mark McDonald (mark@youngmusicmakers.co.uk) with the subject "Work Experience Summer".

That's all for now — we look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday! 🌟

Best wishes,
John
