Martina Pura Mihulková is a genre-spanning flautist, composer, and educator, graduate of the Prague Conservatoire and Guildhall School of Music and Drama classical and jazz programmes.
Martina’s orchestral portfolio includes international tours and performances at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, and Birmingham Symphony Hall. She has performed with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the Pilsen Philharmonic, and the Guildhall Session Orchestra. Her theatrical experience includes engagements in major ballet and opera productions.
Equally at home in the jazz and contemporary spheres, Martina’s band was featured at the EFG London Jazz Festival and Southend Jazz Festival. Her recording credits include a collaboration with Prague-based Concept Art Orchestra, and a vocal contribution to Jacob Collier’s album ‘Djesse Vol. 4’. As part of her Guildhall Jazz studies, she performed alongside luminary artists like Gareth Lockrane, Julian Joseph, Tim Garland, and Iain Ballamy. She trained in samba percussion in bateria Rhythms of the City, with whom she performed for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Martina has composed several pieces for jazz band, and has arranged her compositions for flute ensemble, expanding the contemporary flute repertoire.
A dedicated educator, Martina holds teaching positions across several London schools, fostering the next generation of musical talent.
