Rea Qunta is a songwriter, pianist, singer and teacher with many years of musical experience in a wide range of fields.
She graduated in 2008 with a BA (Hons) Music from the University of Salford. During her time as a student she experienced a most eclectic education in music including classical voice lessons, jazz harmony and improvisation, brass bands, commercial music writing, recording and musical theatre.
Since gaining a Post Graduate Certificate of Music from Middlesex University in 2011 Rea has taught in a variety of sessions — primary whole class, small group summer schools and as a peripatetic teacher both in schools and privately in Manchester, Kent and London.
Currently Rea sings in Latin crossover band ‘Diaspora’ having recently performed at the Jazz Café, London. She has released an EP of her own songs called ‘8 Hours’ and performs her own piano/vocal covers.
Rea is fascinated by the different ways people learn and likes to create a fun environment for students to learn the piano and explore music!
